a couple of weeks ago, I don't know how to link to them, though. The threads discussed the recent Wall Street Journal series on medical collections and how hospitals are now one of the most aggressive debt collectors in the country, using a "body attachments" , a rarely used, but unfortunately all-too-legal collection method, to have people, usually uninsured and lower-income, arrested and thrown in jail for nonpayment of their medical debts. And these were for things like pneumonia, viral meningitis, miscarriages, etc. Guess it's now illegal to get sick if you're uninsured.
Could someone who knows the threads and knows how to link them please try to do so?
