1. This happened to a woman I knew when I was cleaning houses.
Her husband died and she sold her house. The new owners took out the shag carpeting, the flowered drapes she had made, changed the heating system (she had radiators), totally changed the yard and repainted the outside.

I took her by the "old house", and she was really upset. She said...if they didn't like the house the way it was, why did they buy it?

I thought the new owners did a terrific job, but I didn't tell Katy that.
