42. Clark and Kerry campaigns had a very cordial relationship.
That was the problem. The pros couldn't wait to "merge" with the Kerry folks, just like the guy heading the Dean campaign.

The grassroots people who backed Clark and Dean from the outset, they are a little less cordial. The Dean folks don't see much reason to change their point of view regarding Kerry. Certainly, the Dean folks around DU don't seem to.

As to Clark people? Most will support the Democratic nominee but not that many are anxious to jump onto the Kerry bandwagon. And according to some reports, the Kerry campaign is no happier with them than the pros running the Clark campaign were. They'll take our money but after that, well, they'll call us. Honest. They will. Abso-positi-lutely!

Just my opinion, of course. I don't speak for anyone but myself.

Just an American citizen.
