4. Good post! I totally agree with Senator Kerry on this too.
Sadly, I think letting 9/11 happen was a pre-emptive strike on the forces of peace. Without an "enemy", the obscene budgets can hardly be justified. I hope true military hero's like Kerry and CLark can lead a credible charge to restructure our budget priorities to reflect the reality of the world today.

While the RW wails on about external security, do they ever stop to think that investing $40 dollars in military expenditures for every $1 it spends on the taxpayers makes us a stronger nation? We only need to see what happened to the USSR with these type of spending priorities.
