Their comments will resonate with Reagan Republicans. This undercuts evil chimp's attempts to hitch his little wagon to Reagan's legacy. It's also unprecedented in recent times, as far as I know, for a previous administration from the same party to speak out so strongly against a current administration's foreign policy.
Keep this kicked and encourage your independent and Republican friends to read this.
