Or in rarer cases, have so much money that they vote Republican. I'm sure the President-Elect was given a poll result showing him that the vast majority of "key demographics" want their leader to make overt public demonstrations of faith. I'm also sure that breaking with the tradition of overt public demonstrations of faith polls poorly among "key demographics".

When there is a majority coalition that doesn't want overt public demonstrations of faith by their President or that demographic suddenly becomes a "key demographic" then we'll start to see the end of prayers at the inauguration.
