Why DADT will be repealed within a few months

There's no political downside. That's why. something like 75& to 80% of Americans think gays and lesbians should be allowed to serve openly. What will the repeal mean for other civil rights for the GLBT community is the question. My answer is probably not much.

Here are the GLBT civil rights issues I want to see Obama address- if only in a bully pulpit kind of way:

- adoption
- federal rights for same sex couples in marriage/civil unions
- getting rid of the awful DOMA
- ENDA

If he's the advocate he says he is, he should set up a commission/task force on civil rights for the GLBT community. And we should keep the pressure on him to do the right thing.
