1. What happened in Georgia?
I have a question about the peach picking in Georgia this summer and this was the first topic I could find that seemed applicable (so that I could add my question).
I know that many of the immigrants left Georgia because of stricter immigration laws, and that farmers in Georgia then were unable to find many people to help pick the peach crops. They tried hiring parolees but most of them left after just a day. I haven't read anything about this situation since. Did the farmers ever find help to pick the peaches? Or was the fruit just left hanging there? If so, does that mean fewer peaches this year?
