The Boston Globe ran a

It mentioned, by name, 3 soldiers who had served in Iraq and Afghanistan. It ran their pictures on the inside part of the paper and took quotes from them that generally emphasized their view of what should happen in Afghanistan going forward. The tail end of the story included a quote (without picture) from Prof. Bacevich.
I think the media, including the MSM and the leftish online media, sees what it wants to see and formulates the story to conform to the conclusions it wants to draw.
