Given that the committee has the power to increase taxes or cut SS, Medicare, and Medicaid, none of the names you quote are reassuring (not even Durbin). I would wish that Reid takes the same pledge than Pelosi: to name people who oppose cuts (not slashes, or whatever euphemisms, but cuts). Unfortunately, I do not trust him.
