1. Nice, but the slip in his numbers is pretty big
I wonder if it is just the general negativity everywhere for everyone. It might also be partly all the attacks on all the super committee people and the fact that he has taken the adult role of speaking unpleasant truths rather than offering simplistic, unrealistic solutions. I am not surprised that Patrick has a higher approval. Congress' approval is very very low and it can't help but transfer to the Senators.

I like that they actually did the preference question - although with Kerry being more popular and Brown underwater while Kerry is double digits positive on the net result there is no need for it.
