that there ought to be a photo journey made across the country to document the stations and the conditions. As a European I am appalled at the lack of train travel possibilities, the lack of amenities at the stripped down stations, the foolishness of not having a developed network of high speed trains across the vast country. As an American I am enchanted at the left over art deco or earlier magnificence as shown in our two shots of the interior of the two stations.
When I first immigrated my town had a train station. I took the train to New York City as a twenty year old, hung out for the weekend, came back Mo mornings in time to go to work. There were gunshot holes at times in the body of the train. Outside and inside. What a country.
