repair. I know how rewarding fixing stuff (and then working) can be.
No need for a car in the garage . . . bikes, kayaks and tools are more important! ;-)
And don't be so sure about not cooking in quantity. It's amazing what one can accomplish in small spaces.
By the way - I LOVE Vermont. My daughter went to grad school there and it was always fun visiting.
