 HONOLULU - President-elect Barack Obama has landed here after departing Chicago this morning. He and his family are starting a 12-night vacation on the island of Oahu, where Obama was born and spent virtually all of his youth. Airport workers waved from the tarmac as the president-elect, his wife, Michelle, and daughters Sasha and Malia stepped off the plane. Obama carried two of his own bags off the plane following the roughly nine-hour trip.  |
