We went to a wedding reception this aftrenoon, and a friend told me about how her family (about 30 of them) handled it this year.. We were laughing ourselves silly listening to her tell about it..
They have no really small kids anymore in their family, and everyone pretty much has everything they "want"..so
They assigned everyone to buy as much as they could for $20, wrap the gifts in the SAME wrapping paper (bought in bulk)..and then all the gifts went into a big pile..
Then they gave everyone $100,000.00 in play-money, and they had an auction..
after all the gifts were auctioned off, and opened, they then swapped with each other at will :)
She said they had a BALL!! and no one went home emptyhanded:)
