Colombia is model for war against terrorism: US ambassador .

U.S. ambassador to Colombia Michael McKinley praised Colombia for its efforts in the global war against terrorism, and also promised that the U.S. will continue supporting Colombia in this fight.
'Colombia has become a model of inspiration for the world for the war against terrorism, without sacrificing the fundamental values, democratic instituttions, and the objectives that we all share,' said McKinley.
Although Colombia has suffered, "the social consequences, and economic and political devastation that terrorism brings. But because of this we have witnessed not only the pain and sadness, but we have seen noble and outstanding leadership in the face of adversity,' added McKinley.
