I have been overweight my whole life, only getting it under control after surgical assistance. It has never ceased to amaze me that otherwise kind, decent people feel it is okay to pass judgment on others because they are overweight.

That being said, obesity is a SERIOUS health issue. If I were to be told that a candidate had cancer or uncontrolled diabetes than could easily kill him while in office, that would give me pause before voting for him. Obesity is no less serious.
