4. Let's see just what deal the President will sign
in order to get the payroll tax cut and a temporary, quite limited extension of unemployment benefits. Last year, he gave up a two year extension of the Bush tax cuts for everybody, including the rich.

My prediction is that no bill will emerge from Congress that can get the support of both houses. Frankly, that's the best possible outcome for the President as we head into the election year, he can put the blame on Congress, and not have to deal with the fallout from either a signature or a veto of whatever Frankenstein's monster would emerge from the present legislature.
