MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell said Thursday that The New York Times had “jumped the shark” for suggesting that Sarah Palin might run for president in 2012.

O’Donnell has said for months that Palin won’t run because no recent failed vice presidential candidate has ever gone on to become president.

Watch this video from MSNBC’s The Last Word, broadcast May 26, 2011.
