Brit HUME, Hosting the 1st of 2 Faux "DemoCRAT" Forums
Faux's promos have been updated to name HUME as the moderate-moderator, but they're still calling it the "DemoCRAT Presidential Candidates Forum". It will be a slash-fest. What next, will he do the 2nd one, too, or will it be Tony SNOWjob or ---O'WHORELY?

Faux Hosting 2 Dem Forums, Calls 'em "DemoCRAT" Not DemocratIC

Yes, their promos say, co-hosting with "The Black Congressional Institute", but the title of the extravaganza is "DemoCRAT Candidate Forum" - not "Democratic". And the blurb says, "To help YOU decide" - as in, you-Faux-viewer, haha, like the Faux viewer is going to vote Dem. Wonder who the moderate moderator will be, Rita-loves-bad-boys COSBY? Bill-O? Brit? Whorealdo? There's nothing on the Faux website, but here's a press release.

Today, U.S. Rep. Elijah E. Cummings (MD), Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), U. S. Rep. Bennie Thompson (MS), Chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus Political Education and Leadership Institute (the Institute), and Mr. Roger Ailes, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Fox News Channel, announced that the Institute and Fox News Channel will hold two presidential debates this year.
The debates will be held in Baltimore, Maryland, on Tuesday, September 9, 2003, and in Detroit, Michigan on Sunday, October 26, 2003. ....

All nine Democratic presidential candidates have confirmed their participation in both debates. Fox News will nationally air each debate live.

"We are pleased the Congressional Black Caucus Political Education and Leadership Institute has chosen to work with the FOX News Channel, America's leading cable news provider, in offering this important public service," Mr. Ailes said. ....

The CBC Institute is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of members of the Congressional Black Caucus and private sector members from academia, advocacy and policy organizations, labor and business. The Institute is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to educate African-Americans and others on key issues of national policy.

.... For the past 19 months, FNC has been the most watched cable news channel and currently presents seven out of the top ten cable news programs. Owned by News Corp., FNC is available in more than 82 million homes.

1. The thing that's funny...
is that this debate is not listed on the DNC's website. I don't know why. It must not be sanctioned, but why? I would like an answer if anybody knows. Thanks

2. So, is this going be a good test to see which Democrat has the
ammunition to deal with inevitable lies and slander coming from the fascist state media? Should we be paying close attention to exchanges between Hume and the candidates?

5. No doubt it'll be unfair and unbalanced
Surely an attempt to divide the candidates and get them attacking each other will be the MO of which ever Faux-reporter moderates.

Should be interesting, however, to have the Dems be able to counter *'s Sunday night address so soon. Note to Dem candidates: ABB

to call out fox for the lying piece of crap it is.

I'm sure Bitt will be really nice to his good friend Joe Feebleman.

6. This is nothing more than FOX's...
attempt at a stereotypical joke at Blacks' expense. They think it's hilarious to show their bigot audience a Democratic event with brown/black people in attendence.

The real shame is that the BCPELI, had to go to FOX in the first place...CNN should have welcomed the event.
