stories about him being in the Mid-West, and even Europe (pheasant hunting with Shwartzkopf and Jim Baker), on 9/11. It seems there was an effort to trot out some serious dis-information as to exactly what he was doing, and where he was at...... Hmmmmm. Personally, I think it wasthe old man who engineeredthe whole gawdamn thing, 9/11, the war, the whole thing, using Cheney as his point man, to keep McMonkeyboy in line.

2. Poppy and Bar spent the night at the White House

while Dubya was in Florida. The Carlyle Group was meeting in DC at the time but I never saw a confirmation that Poppy attended.

They left the White House at about the same time the first plane hit the WTC. Laura reportedly was told of a problem by the SS after Poppy and Bar pulled away from the WH.

Seems a little odd Poppy would spend the night while Junior's in Florida, I think. Maybe he just missed his old SecDef and wanted to rehash old times.
