New Mexico Lt. Governor endorses Kerry

New Mexico Lieutenant Governor Diane D. Denish today endorsed John Kerry for the Democratic nomination for President.

“No one who is running for president, including George W. Bush, has served his country with more honor and dignity than John Kerry,” said Lieutenant Governor Diane D. Denish. “From defending his country as a Vietnam combat veteran to standing up for Head Start and other programs that aim to lift our people out of poverty, John Kerry is a proven leader and the best choice to lead our nation toward a brighter future.”

Diane D. Denish was the first woman to be elected Lieutenant Governor of New Mexico in November 2002. A former chair of the Democratic Party of New Mexico, she is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Daniels Fund, which supports early childhood education and other youth programs in New Mexico and the western United States.

kerry HAS worked on many of these issues for years. i can see why she would support him. also, he has a great record on the environment which is one of the biggest reasons i support him.
