Hamilton County commissioners' private meeting discusses Occupy Chattanooga
Source: Chattanooga Times-Free Press

Hamilton County commissioners held a private meeting with County Attorney Rheubin Taylor on Friday to discuss the Occupy Chattanooga protesters camped out on the county courthouse lawn.

The meeting was not announced as required by the states Open Meetings Act, also known as the Sunshine Law. Taylor said a Tennessee Supreme Court decision allows some meetings about legal issues to remain private on the grounds of attorney-client privilege. When called during business hours to cite the decision, Taylor did not return the call.

Skillern said those camping in tents on the lawn are doing things we wouldnt allow the average citizen to do.

Asked early Friday about the countys rules for use of the courthouse lawn, county spokesman Mike Dunne said in an e-mail that Attorney Taylor has informed me there is no county code governing the propertys use.

Sunshine laws? We don't need no stinkin' sunshine laws. We aren't talking about "average citizens" here.

Like what?
I am so sick of these assholes acting like the OWS protesters are some sort of fringe group that the majority of the citizens of this country don't support.
Check the polling idiots!

2. The Powers That Be in The South

Still believe they run plantations, that this is 1838, and that anyone NOT them is their pawn.

This is still the Confederacy, where the US Constitution is a mystery.....and FAR too radical...

Rights? Since when did slaves have RIGHTS!!!

Oh ya, the Occupy crowd certainly hasn't done anything like the "average" Bankster of Wall Street!

Things like mortgage shit that brought down the world!
