Bukavu - Dissident troops who this week took the key Democratic Republic of Congotown of Bukavu were on Saturday marching towards other towns in the east of the country, witnesses and United Nations sources said.
One column of these men, who are led by General Laurent Nkunda, a former rebel, reportedly left Bukavu on Friday, heading north-west to Walikale, according to the UN peacekeeping mission in DRC, Monuc.
Nkunda is estimated to have between 2 000 and 4 000 men under his command.
