THE Government owned up yesterday and admitted they failed to prepare properly for post-war Iraq.

In a damning report three months ago, MPs accused the MoD of 'misjudgment' in failing to begin planning earlier for the aftermath of the war.
In their response yesterday, the MoD defended their handling of the war but admitted there was 'room for improvement'.
