Im so angry I wrote again!
To: ATC@npr.org Subject: David Frum, Cheney and Bush - The Real Axis of Evil Date: Thu, 19 Feb 2004 17:43:13 +0000 Why do you let David Frum speak unchallenged on NPR? We have Fox, MSNNC, and Larry King for sycophantic non-news right wing propaganda.
David Frum is too close to the Neo Con cabal that started this war in Iraq to be a journalist or commentator on NPR! Look at his crazy book, adopted by the Bush White House as gospel. Recall these choice quotes on various topics from the ironically titled "An End to Evil":
THE WAR ON TERROR - "Has only just begun." "There is no middle way for Americans: It is victory or holocaust."
MILITANT ISLAM - Vast hoard of Arabs, possibly numbering in the millions, bent on world domination. They intend to "fasten unthinking, unquestioning slavery" on the mind of Western Civilization.
THE MIDDLE EAST - "Fetid Swamp" crawling with "venomous vermin" America must cast it all in the flames. "The toughest line is the safest line"
ON IRAN - "The regime must go" ON GERMANY - "fair weather friend" not to be trusted ON FRANCE - an unfriendly country "gleefully smashed the alliance" ON ISRAEL - "Everything that Europeans think a state should not be: proudly nationalist, supremely confident, willing and able to use force to defend itself - alone if need be."
DARK PLACES ON EARTH - where "terrorists skulk and hide" eligible for an Iraq-like invasion: "Lebanon, Sierra Leone, Colombia, Venezuela, Paraguay, Brazil, Zimbabwe, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, N. Nigeria" The authors are clearly out of their minds. This is a recipe for disaster, far from ending evil, Frum creates it with his war of unending misery.
AMERICAN CIVILIAN POPULATION- Must be prepared to accept huge losses. The protection of American civilians is not important as killing Satanic Islamists. The authors cite George Patton: "Nobody ever won a war by caring for his wounded. He won by making the other poor SOB care for his wounded."
Frum and Perle's world of death and apocolypse should be exposed and condemned not giving legitimacy on NPR. Shame on you! NPR
