When Bush is unseated, can Kerry release Bush's 9/11 secrets?
Can Kerry, as president, release documents pertaining to what Bush knew about the 9/11 attacks? Can Kerry, as president, release all the documents pertaining to Cheney's Energy Task Force?

I want to see the Bush administration not only defeated, but disgraced.

One thing is for certain... The old skulls from the Reagan and Bush era, and indeed Shrub himself, will not give up power so easily this time. These people are playing all their cards right now. This time, the game is for keeps.

Scary times are ahead, people. With Shrub's reelection prospects diminishing daily, the chances that Bushco will do something drastic to improve Shrub's polling numbers increases daily. Rove will not go into the elections with the polling numbers being where they are now.

Kerry's chances are looking better each day, but do not make the mistake of underestimating the Bush dynasty.

:scared:

1. He'd better!
That's one mystery I'd like to see solved in my lifetime: LIHOP or MIHOP?

2. I don't see why not-
Since Shrub changed the law pertaining to the release of presidential materials, I don't see why Kerry (or whoever) can simply change it again.

However, I don't think it would matter. The people who have a pretty good idea of what's going on don't need vindication- we already know pretty much what happened. Those who support Bushco would never believe it. If God almighty- in all his splendor and glory were to come out of the heavens and denounce Bush, they still wouldn't change their minds.

4. Sure he can...
Can Kerry, as president, release documents pertaining to what Bush knew about the 9/11 attacks?
Can Kerry, as president, release all the documents pertaining to Cheney's Energy Task Force?

If they haven't experienced the same fate as Bush's military records, i.e. trashed or shredded on orders from "above."

Does anyone really think that between November and January those records won't be "lost."

5. I sure hope so
and I hope he campaigns on that issue. I want to see every bit of what went on during the worst 4 years in the nation's history - the 9/11 stuff, the energy task force notes, the IWR docs, and Smirk's testimony from the commission.

If we're going to prevent it from happening again, we have to know what happened.

6. He could, but he won't
Every president has faced increased suspicion since Watergate, just to name an example.

Since Nixon, people have commonly believed that it's possible for presidents to be crooks and liars.

If Bush was outed for LIHOP, then add "mass murderer" to that list. The establishment simply does not want to do that, Democratic or Republican. Why do you think we still don't know who killed JFK? Because the powers-that-be want us to believe in fundamental fairness of the system. Outing LIHOP would shatter any confidence in the system itself, and nobody with any power within the system wants that.
