Why ignore 'Dub Clark?'
Wesley Clark seems to be loved by the members of the DU and most of the American Public. He's obviously a great choice for President. What went wrong? I open to all opinions, please tell me what you think happened. Why is he not a current viable canidate?

2. I didnt like his connection
to the SOA. Are you familiar with the SOA? He recently said he thinks they are doing a fine job !!!! He was the head dick there at some point in his career. I have been to the SOA, and I could not vote for someone that supports it, but that's just me.

3. SOA
I am familiar. It scares me that he was for it, but doesn't surprise me. I've lost friends to the brainwashing of military boot camp. And that's just a few weeks. Imagine what years would do to anyway.

4. Everything went wrong
He is a great choice. He was the best candidate and the best to beat Bush.
1) Didn't run in Iowa
2) Media trashed or ignored him
3) Media & DNC promoted and manipulated the "Great Momentum"
4) Inferior Campaign advisors
5) Late entry into the race
6) Dishonest negative attacks by other Democratic candidates
7) Inexperienced in political jargon. Clark communicates on a complex and thorough level. People want short sound bites and are not interested in substance. If you ask Clark a question you'll get a thoughtful, comprehensive and detailed answer. Perhaps he is too intellectual.
8) Etc.

7. I'd say not running in Iowa was a huge mistake
since that seems to have been when the entire race was decided.

8. It was certainly the beginning of the end
It's a shame that this could be "decided" by one state. People are so easily led by this "Magical Momentum" and voting for the "winner". Next time maybe everyone will get to vote first. Primary voting should be done in all states on the same day. I don't care if that would be difficult. It could be done and is the only fair and democratic way.

6. what went wrong? the fact that he ran at all
a man with zero track record in electoral politics, and no history as a democrat, got too ambitious and decided to run for the top spot in the dem party and the highest electoral office in the land.

arrogance and ambition will only get you so far.

his supporters over-estimated the appeal of the uniform.
