But pissing on his grave is terrible and comes close to Bush's use of coffins in his political adds in terms of desecration of the dead. This will be my last post on DU, ever. but you haven't been around enough to know this will pass (an obvious assumption on my part). You aren't the only Christian, and you are not alone in your thoughts about this issue. Liberals have a big umbrella and, one of the greatest things about us is that we are tolerant, even of each others occasional intolerance. My husband has been so affected by Regonomics that he simply can't find any thing nice about the guy and has a need to be very vocal about his anger concerning his policies. We are an accumulation of our experiences. I hate to see you "sign off" and hope you come back when this issue is a non-issue.

I'm a Christian - in fact, I work for the church - and while I don't agree so much with the "pissing on the grave" stuff, the fact is that Reagan was a horrible president and a horrible human being. And I, for one, because I believe in compassion and the truth of people's feelings, refuse to be "offended" because some people are happy that he died.

I'm not so much happy, I'm indifferent, though I feel sadness for his family especially after such a long, terrible ordeal with his sickness, but I refuse to demonize anyone for their legitimate feelings.

But, you have to do what you have to do.
