Olbermann: more than 70,000 people have gone by THE casket.
Do you think that because our presidents are taking so long to die, these people have a Ghoulish desire to say "I saw a dead one?"

1. I was right for at least part of the public: A younger man more or

will bury him on Friday.

coffin after standing in the rain for hours - when I was a teenager. A very cute guy invited me to go. I was very sad about JFK's assasination, but after viewing the casket, guarded by attentive representatives of each branch of the military, in that historical setting, I was filled with a sense of closure and peace.
I have been bonded to government and politics since then because of that simple jesture and the civil rights issue.

If 70,000 viewing a casket seems strange, just wait till one of ours passes.
