Puget Sound power users: good offer to sign up for green power
I signed up today for 6 blocks (6x 150-kWh/month @ $3 a block)... It's a good deal considering one block of Planet Power purchased monthly for one year offsets the same amount of CO2 as planting a half-acre of trees or taking a car off the road for 2,756 miles...

"Snohomish County PUD is partnering with KING5 TV, Puget Sound Energy, Tacoma Power, and Batdorf & Bronson Coffee Roasters to promote green power in the Puget Sound area. We are airing TV ads promoting green power on KING5 TV, made possible by a generous public service grant by Belo Corporation, the parent company of KING5 TV. All customers who sign-up for Planet Power will receive a free gift of two 12-ounce bags of coffee and a mug, compliments of Batdorf & Bronson Coffee Roasters. This is a limited offer and is good only while supplies last."

1. Do you have to pay electricity costs on top of that $3.00
Or is electricity included in there?

2. yeah it's on top of the existing rate
in theory it should be cheaper but they have to pay for the green equipment... Hopefully an Enron settlement can offset the price difference.

5. We can buy wind power here in Calgary
A mere $10 extra a month, if you're on a plan. Our light rail transit also uses wind power. No, that doesn't mean it uses sails.

I've been past the wind farm many times, it's very cool, running along a long ridge facing the mountains.
