that Rainbow parade or whatever." I told him I would walk in a gay pride parade myself rather than have 10,000+ people lose their lives the way they did and hundreds of thousands lose their homes. They were thousands of poor black, white, gay, straight, old, young. They were not to be labeled other than victims of Bush's greed.
Then he started spouting off about partner benefits. This guy works for MBNA - need I go further. He said "Your mom was sick for a long time and you couldn't get her covered on your insurance. Why should they let same sex partners be covered? They're not even blood relatives like your Mom." I first said "What does that have to do with the hurricane?" Then went on to say that I was not my mother spouse, she was covered under her spouse's insurance. My husband isn't my blood relative either, but we're both covered. I don't see anybody fighting for blood relatives rights to be covered under benefits.
He probably thinks I have a big problem with PMS right about now, but as usual, it was just him being himself that pissed me off ;)
