I was making a list of facilities that FEMA was going to send some evacuees currently in Texas, LA, and MS to in the next week. I found a lot of peeling lead paint stories for why they were closed. One held the cuban boat lift people and now we have the Church campin OK story and the Utah story. I don't think they thought we would figure it out this soon.
I am sure that they were deliberatly trying to cause anarchy in LA and MS by withholding services, ordering people out and shooting at them when they tried to get out, cutting communications lines and commandeering private modes of transporation all documented here. Planting false violence stories (yes I know there was violence but not as much as they wanted us to believe).
It didn't happen. They didn't have the media completely under their thumb, they had some tough smart southern polititions that figured out the game plan and didn't surrender. They always underestimate the American people's will and compassion, they don't understand it because they have none. So then they HAD to do something but that wasn't what they are about so they are doing it very, very badly.
FEMA is not a friend to people. It's leadership and mission is something other than search, rescue and recovery. More like command and control so that the BFEE and friends can swoop in and carpet bag to their hearts content.
They have now put the bottleneck smack in TX by stopping almost all exodus. So they are going to try again and they are stalling for another storm to partially cover their butts too, I have no doubt.
FEMA has been playing a game of chess with civilian rescuers and they have guns and tanks. We are literally working as an underground trying, like Schindler to do good things while living in hell with the devil in control.
That said we need a better game plan. We have to use the media and our assets smartly. Just some things to think about rather than talking about school buses underwater and posting ad nasueum how outraged we are by it. They are counting on our outrage. They are not counting on our resolve. They believe the hype. We will win but we need to save as many was we can given the rules of this cruel sport we find ourselves forced into.
