I think the small town reported on at NPR was Waveland
several families pooled their gas...only enough for 1 trip
....representatives from the several families traveled to Hattiesburg (?).....relief agency policy: only 1 set of aid supplies to car; people unable to convince them to give 1 set for each family......'so now we have to split 1 set between the families'
I realize rules exist so as few as possible can take advantage....yet it does seem there should be some way around this, since many families have to combine to travel to where they can get aid

Follow the rules, get screwed. The government is so freaking worried that a couple people might get "more than they deserve," so folks who freaking can't afford gas to make the trip get nothing.
I hate these bloody bureaucrats.

3. Yes, it's fine when Halliburton overbills for a few billion |
|
But the thought of somebody getting a 'government handout' that they 'didn't deserve' keeps them awake at night.
Fuckers.
