That is just another way of saying the war was justified, but the aftermath should have been better planned for.

Bushit! We should NEVER have gone in to Iraq. Period.

Why not criticize the Pre-war LIES to Congress and the U.N. about WMD and the UNILATERAL War without a U.N. resolution.

And the war is NOT over yet, either..

Once again, the Dems are giving Bush a gift!

We should argue pre 9/11 incompetence (or worse); post 9/11 coverup; pre-Iraq war lies; post-invasion no-bids to halliburton/carlyle, etc.; sinking soldier morale; ongoing casualties; and let's bring 'em home instead of Bush's bring 'em on..

Joe Biden say that the AK47's sold in Iraq for $5,000? Meanwhile the US is offering a $500 reward for those that are turned in. And further, that the US says they don't have enough men to guard the ammunition place where the AK47's are stored. He said you can just go in there and buy some. Somebody's making money, fer sure.

8. They say that Bush's main mistake was not getting approval of your allies.

They seem to be assuming that if Bush had just asked a little nicer and longer, the rest of the world would have fallen in line....My impression is that except for Britain and Australia, the rest of the former friends of the U.S.A. had decided they did not think war was warranted...I heard Senator Kerry say this morning (as have others) that Bush should be talking nice to the allies now and he could still get them to send their troops to replace the Americans...Is he serious?...I think what is being forgotten is that these countries do not want to send their young soldiers to become sitting ducks when their citizens have demonstrated how much against this war they are!
My country, Canada has a large contingent in Afghanistan and has committed $300 million to help in Iraq, but they do not intend to send soldiers to Iraq....The sad thing about all this is that the poor young American soldiers seem to be stuck with this mess!

9. The House mark up on the $87 B

D Rep. Murka(sp?), of Penn. stated that he had never gotten so much mail in his career as he had against this $87B grant. Yet he supported the sum!!

Beholden to the big money interests, the Congress is in no mood to not dish out the cash to Halliburton, et al. Do you know how many campaign contributions will trickle down on them for their votes?

The only out for the US at this point is to get our soldiers out now and let the Iraqi's invite in whoever they need. The total for the occupation is going to run in excess of $400B if we don't get out now. I don't see how even one single so called CONservative can honestly support this boondoggle.
