"ptui" is a noise commonly made by a person while (s)he spits.

The process of spitting is where a person expunges undesirable material from his/her mouth. Generally with great speed and, depending on what this material is and whether or not you're in a dentist's chair, usually with great accuracy.

This process can be frequently heard in baseball games.

This process is rarely heard in a person's bedroom.

This process can be often heard in the bathroom, while one is brushing one's teeth with a toothbrush.

Now I don't know who invented the toothbrush, but was the electric variant really necessary?
