Well, I'm back to reality

Maui was great! I just got back today. Since I have a house guest coming in tomorrow morning, I probably won't have photos ready for a couple of days, but I wanted to drop by and say hello.

The highlight of our trip was the boat (Catamaran) tour we took from Maui to Lanai; it included a van trip around the island of Lanai, snorkeling at a wonderfully preserved reef, a scrumptious lunch (funny how everything taste great after a day in the ocean), and the most fun I think I've ever had on the open ocean. The captain warned those of us on the bow it would be rough, and he wasn't kidding...it was the best ride I've had since Space Mountain at Disney World!

Besides the boat trip, we hiked to Fishbowl (and what a hike it was...not for the faint of heart), ate fish every day, and had massive amounts of beach and sun...and took time to smell the flowers.

Here is a photo of one place we went to (Fishbowl) taken off the web...just until I get mine sorted out!

It was sure hard to be away from this place for nearly a week...

So...what did I miss?

It was beautiful. The guide books say the hike from the nearest park to Fishbowl is only 30 minutes, but it really takes at least 1 hour *each way*! But, it was so worth it. :)

3. I know what you mean. I'm not a great hiker

because of my arthritis. But when I visited Costa Rica I suddenly had superhuman strength and perfect knee joints, because I had to. It's incredibly beautiful there, too.
