macrobiotic diet?
Edited on Mon Jan-08-07 08:00 PM by pokerfan
I was just watching a WSOP circuit event on ESPN and Cyndy Violette, one of my favorite players, was praising her macrobiotic diet in terms of providing her with stamina.

I haven't played in a long multi-day tournament since last May, partly because they are so grueling. I play in a regular montly game that usually takes about four or five hours and sit-and-goes almost daily.

Anyway, it's time to start dreaming about my run for the 2007 WSOP and I was wondering if anyone here has tried macrobiotics? I love whole grains, pulses, fruits and veggies anyway, so I think I could easily adopt the diet. Not sure I buy into the yin/yang balance thing though.

1. I did macrobiotics and decided that since I'm not a Japanese monk, it was too
restrictive and not in accord with my genetic background or my living environment.

However, I learned to eat in season. How to wean myself from processed sweetners etc.

IMO, one would be much more balanced to learn Chinese Dietary principles based on the their Five Element Theory.
