Poll question: Have you taken down your Christmas tree, indoor decorations

If not, when do you plan on doing so?

1. Finished it yesterday....

it took a day and a half...but it's all done.

2. I did it earlier than I wanted to

I like to wait until after Jan. 6 but we were a little bad about watering the tree - most of it was on the ground by the time Christmas rolled around. x(

I did it last tuesday...I should have left them up a bit longer, but I did it, to just get it over with....

4. I haven't done it quite yet.

I had hoped to do it yesterday, but that never happened. The next chance will be after I return from MAL in Washington, DC next weekend.

The tree is a live one so there is no danger of fire.

We will take it down sometimes this month.

The decorations we will take a little at a time.

the tree is down but there is so much x-mas shit up around the house. I didn't put it up, so I'm not taking it down. Unless I just throw it all out the front door.

7. did it on December 25th

Normally they'd stay up to New Years but this year I left for Pasadena on the 27th to be in the Rose Bowl parade, so I got it out of the way so I wouldn't have to come home to all that.

We have decorations, but this was a non-deco year.

I love Christmas trees and decorations, but putting them up and taking them down is a drag.

13. mine stays up year round

it's some fake pine stuff hanging above the sliding glass door with candy canes hanging off, and it doubles as a Halloween decoration because we put skeletons on it, and also easter for the 1 easter egg.

14. Tree came down over the w/e, but the rest of the inside decorations

came down today.

We still have to take down all the outside lights and all the outside decorations, though. :eyes: Probably this coming w/e.

Its the first christmas I've had a real tree and it makes the house smell really good.......ok maybe I'm just lazy and dont want to cart it away to get mulched :D

17. No - have 2 large ones. Thinking about it tires me! 3 yrs ago I took down our

basement tree the end of August before we moved. It didn't show from the street etc and I never got around to it. We laughed like crazy taking it down mid-August. The night before we put the lights etc on and sat around loving it.

I would have left it up at that point.

We have artificial trees and store them in the basement, unlit and und decorated, just so we don't have to re-do the lights, which always takes the longest.

20. That was the original intent, to leave it up. It's a neat tree, with sports, drinking,music themed

ornaments etc. We had a pool table, pinball machine, slot machine etc in the basement that my late husband finished himself. Was a really neat room and the tree was special since it highlighted Bud's golfing, my addiction to Coke products, football, pool, martini glasses, etc.

Every year is the same. Part of my New Year's Day hangover blues involves helping to take the Christmas tree and decorations down. It has been the same for 10 years.

I concede to his wisdom and persistence. Left to my own devices, they would either never go up, or never get taken down.

We were pretty much not together around our place for the month of December to even enjoy them if we put them up.

Plus, we have two cats that would have had a field day if left to their own devices.

24. Yes. On January 2.

Usually the house rule is to leave things up until Orthodox Christmas is over (though my family isn't Orthodox; go figure), but this year I did it early. I just wanted to be rid of the clutter.

25. The tree came down on the first of January

and the decorations were packed away yesterday. The only evidence of Christmas remaining is the wreath on the back door, because I don't see it and therefore don't remember it's there.
