I met three McCarthy apologists yesterday, one of whom claims that Truman was up to here in those damned commie spies and that McCarthy, since he had nothing to do with HUAC, was an innocent man.

I guess if people can deby something like the holocaust ever happened, it's very easy to rehabilitate an idiot like McCarthy in the eyes of other idiots like McCarthy.
