Is it weird that I email my husband when he is mere rooms away?
I'm sitting downstairs, playing on my laptop. My husband is upstairs in the office and I just emailed him a message instead of walking my lazy ass up the stairs to tell him.

2. I leave notes around and we live in a 2-room apartment.
He writes back. We never discuss what we write.

Or basic communication notes?

8. No. They're "where's the f'n watchacallit" type notes.
Or "your f'n sister called.....again"

4. It beats yelling
I know I would prefer an e-mail to having my name shouted.

7. Certainly better than what my mom used to.
She would yell my name, then when I yelled back "WHAT?!?" there would be silence........no response. Eventually I'd have to yell back, "Mom.....did you want something?"

So annoying.

6. My dear suzbaby!
That's not weird!

My husband calls me on the phone....we have a two-line system...

In a very big, two story house!

Hey, it beats yelling by a country mile!

:hi:

9. Awww, thanks California Peggy!
We only have cell phones, and his is downstairs with me, so phone calls wouldn't work for us.

My old house (the one I grew up in) had this wonderful 1970's intercom system. THAT was fun!

19. We had one of those intercoms
But When I was 15 I had rheumatic fever and physically could not get out of bed for a few months. I couldn't get to the intercom (which was across the room) I used a rinback number on the telephone and hung up and waited for it to ring back. When the pattern of rings was broken, I knew my mom or somebody had picked up, and I would grab the phone and talk. Worked pretty well.

18. I've actually faxed and left voice mails for my wife sitting at another
desk just a couple feet away from me. Some months we can go days without speaking to one another despite being forced, for families sake, into sharing a large cold house and often having to be in the same room or car for brief, joyless periods of time.

:)

20. My kids call me on the cell and text me all the time from
the downstairs. I put up with it because they won't come into the smoking room and I don't blame them.

My daughter will call me on my cell and if I don't answer it because I'm in a different room, she will hang up and call me on the home phone.

I really shouldn't need any exercise regime because I'm always jumping up or diving across a room to answer some f'n phone.

He's upstairs right now working on a marketing project. I don't want to disturb him, so if I had something to say, I might email it.
