What's the best way to combat muscle pain?

My neck hurts!

Worse, as I rub the sides of my neck, I can feel a small lump on the left side. Knotted muscle?

What can I do? What should I do?

Works for me every time and it doesn't smell or irritate the skin like camphorated products. It may cause the muscle pain to travel downward, though, in which case you keep applying where it goes till the pain disappears through the bottom of your feet.

Parafon Forte used to be my favorite prescription years ago - closest thing to it OTC is Momentem or Doan's for muscle. Ibuprofen if don't have either of those.
