1. Derek Jeter in "Bush at War" ...

I was kind of surprised to see his name mentioned in there. On the day that * went to NYC to throw out the ball during that World Series game, I swear that Jeter was trying to psych him out.

Bush announced that he was going to throw from the base of the mound, to increase his chance of reaching the plate. (He was whining about the body armor he was wearing possibly interfering with his arm. Yes, Mr. Personal Responsibility strikes again.)

Anyway, Jeter told him that it wouldn't be a good idea, because the fans would boo him if he wimped out like that. Bush was shocked. Jeter reminded him that "this is New York".

Bush wavered a little, then said that he'd try the top of the mound after all. Just as they were about to go out onto the field, Jeter again turned to him and reminded him that he can't bounce the ball, or people will start booing.
