got an interview!

Wow, this is all going so quickly: sent resume one week ago, got response (after reminder email) yesterday, had 2 phone interviews today, and have an in-person one scheduled for Friday! I think the guy wanted to interview me tomorrow, but I have a date to bitch-slap Senator Coryn tomorrow AM and didn't want to change those plans. ;)

Anyways, wish me luck! Any advice? Especially, any advice from moms who have gone back to work after several years at home?--I'm more worried about how to break it to the kids than whether or not I'll actually get the job.

1. Good luck on Friday

Unforunately I have to hands-on advice for talking to the kids. However, I've met them and they are lively, bright, wonderful little girls (which is certainly a credit to you and the job you've done raising them). I'm sure they will miss having you around all day every day but I would imagine they'll be adapt and be fine. That you are already thinking about how to tell them and the fact that you've raised them into the neat little girls they are makes me believe that whatever you do will be the right thing...seems pretty obvious from where I'm sitting that you know what you're doing when it comes to your little ones. :-)

You should ask my good friend PassingFair for advice. She recently went back to work after being home for a decade. I recently went home after working for a decade. :)
