I received a death threat today!

Long story short, I'm eating dinner with friends in a campus dining hall, and some guy who hangs out around campus and carries a Bible that looks like it survived a couple wars comes and sits with us. Everyone knows who he is so we don't really think too much of it because as far as we know, he may be weird, but he never does anything other than say stuff that doesn't make much sense.

Anyway, a conversation topic of how a couple friends of mine were joking about being married earlier this quarter came up. Despite my constant reassurances (and those of others) that these two people weren't actually married, this guy, who is known as Marv, says repeatedly to me, "<girl's name> is a close personal friend of mine. I'm going to ask her about this on Monday and if I find out that they aren't actually married, I'm going to come after you." He said this and other allusions to wanting to kill me, after each one I replied, "Marv, they're not actually married--it was a joke that they were carrying on for a while." I then told the exact story of where the joke came from and all that jazz, but he continued with the 'if I find out that they aren't married, I'm going to kill you' crap.

Best part was once we managed to leave that discussion, he said that there was already someone else on campus who he wanted to kill for being Muslim, and after what Islam did to the US, what Christ teaches doesn't matter.
