Southpark movie is amazing
Awright, I just watched the Southpark movie for the very first time. And OMG, that is the funniest movie I have ever seen. Fave song in the movie has to be "Blame Canada"(hey, they're not even a real country, right?). I absolutely love how this movie's viciou satire spares absolutely no one while at the same time pointing out the ridiculousness of American moral standards.

p.s. Also can't stop singing "Uncle Fucka". I love this movie

We need a South Park involving Saddam Hussein, Satan, George Bush and a HUGE Dildo ;-)

2. Ah yes the memories
I remember seeing that movie over and over again when it first came out. I don't think it gets old, just better everytime I watch it.

4. Yeah I've seen it 100 times and it's still funny as hell.
Terrence and Philip are hilarious. Big Gay Al, Satan, Saddam, Mr. Garrison and the kids of course are all great characters.

6. I maintain
That this movie should've won Best Picture.

Not only is it a poke in the eye to all the Disney/Dreamworks-animation-as-musical movies, it's a blatant finger to the censors. Yes, hilarious--high-freaking-larious, in fact--but it makes a HUGE political statement at the same time.

7. Yes it does
It is better than any satire monty python has ever done, The great thing about southpark is that it offends EVERYONE. Conservatives, liberals, christians, blacks, gays, and everybody else has been offended by it at least once. Southpark is the greatest cartoon ever

14. the whole purpose
was to simply offend people. They wanted to make that movie so vulgar and shocking that all the fundies and anybody who was the slightest bit conservative would freak out...and they succeeded

17. Yup, I was laughing my ass off when a local christian group . . .
was protesting it because of all the profanity :) :) :)

My only thought was "DID YOU EVEN WATCH THE FUCKING MOVE YOU DONKEY RAPING SHIT-EATER?"

Maybe they were just upset because the movie was about them? :)

9. I saw the film before I ever saw the TV show. And I loved it!
The film truly lives up to SOUTH PARK's reputation as brilliant satire!

10. I saw it in the theatre...
It was the coolest movie experience I've had in terms of the enthusiasm from the crowd, etc... everyone was singing the 'Kyle's mom's a Bitch' song and clapping rythmically, etc.. the audience was just a really cool crowd and was way into it.. we were clapping and cheering.. great fun

So many times throughout that movie I was laughing so hard my sides hurt.. I almost fell out of the chair..

I love South Park!!!

11. Some of the musical bits were lame, but others were GREAT!
It takes time getting used to the "Uncle F*****" song as it's somewhat disturbing... though I dug the rap version...

But the one ditty about "What would ___ do?" (I forgot the name but wasn't he a Canadian skater or something?) was hilarious.

Oh, it's a hilarious movie. The Saddam/Satan subplot was to die for as well, ROTFLMAO!!

Still, Matt and hottie Trey would be just as well off denouncing pornography by showing two people porking, with close-ups on the good bits... Hey, they had Saddam in bed 'waving' to Satan... :D

15. Saw it in the theatre when it opened...
the theatre manager came in and made a little speech before the show started about how the movie had some rough language and asked those people who had children there to reconsider if they wanted their children to see it. I've never seen that happen for any other movie I'd ever seen.

Of course, it wasn't long after the movie started, Uncle Fucka had me on the floor laughing, close to peeing my pants.

When back to the theatre to see it again the same week... A classic film!

The Terrance and Phillip, "Not Without My Anus" April Fool's episode was great too! The first appearance of Saddam in a South Park episode. I know that many did not like that episode, but I have to agree with Matt and Trey, that it is without a doubt the best South Park episode. Comedy Central never reruns it though.

If you've never seen it, look for Orgazmo. Another classic Trey Parker film!!

18. best song: Kyle's Mom's a Bitch
Edited on Sat Feb-21-04 07:10 AM by Kamika
Well.....
Kyle's mom's a bitch
She's a big fat bitch
She's the biggest bitch in the whole wide world
She's a stupid bitch if there ever was a bitch
She's a bitch to all the boys and girls

On Monday she's a bitch
On Tuesday she's a bitch
On Wednsday through Saturday she's a bitch
Then on Sunday, just to be different,
She's a superkinkamayamayabeeatch

Have you ever met my friend Kyle's mom?
She's the biggest bitch in the whole wide world
She's a mean 'ol bitch and she has stupid hair
She's a big big big big big big bitch
Big big big big big big big bitch, she's a stupid bitch

Kyle's mom's a bitch and she's just a dirty bitch

Talk to kids around the world it might go a little bit
something like this:

Chinese singing
French singing
Dutch singing
African singing

Have you ever met my friend Kyle's mom?
She's the biggest bitch in the whole wide world
She's a mean 'ol bitch and she has stupid hair
She's a big big big big big big bitch

Big big big big big big big bitch, she's a stupid bitch
Kyle's mom's a bitch and she's just a dirty bitch
I really mean it
Kyles mom, she's a big fat fucking bitch
Big old fat fucking bitch Kyle's mom
Yeah
Chaaaa

19. I rented the move shortly after 9/11, and I swear I was hallucinating. . .
whenever I saw Saddam's image and his saying "let's f**k", I thought I was seeing Osama bin Laden's face instead!!!

I was just punch-drunk from laughter all the way through.

:evilgrin::evilgrin::evilgrin:

20. I think they need to make a stage version of it..
Put it on Broadway right across the street from the Lion King, and Beauty and the Beast.
