They're playing music from 1990, and also said that it was the year of the Soviet Collapse. It just cements the fact that 1990 was the death of, well at least Glam. The point is, they made a point of that year being the collapse of the Soviet Union, as if it has anything to do with American Football, as if it were relevant to anything. It just shows how much propaganda there was in the US in the 80s.
Never mind that, it's funny that stuff that was edgy 18 years ago is now background music.
Well sure, Metallica did also collapse faster than the Soviet Union in 1990 with "The Black Album", and Guns N Roses never did anything relevant after 1990, but still!
