A silly little missing plastic shiny thing saved me $65 on my daughter's glasses.
Her old frame was too small and one lens kept popping out. I took her to get a new pair at LensCrafters because they're the ONLY place I could find that can make glasses the same day. She decided on the frames and then noticed that there were two little rhinestones on one side but only one on the other. She didn't care because, and I quote, "the others will just fall out eventually". She's ten days away from being 15. Still, she mentioned it to the man helping us and he said he'd bump the 30% off advertised special up to 50%. I didn't realize it until he rang us up, but that ALSO applied to the lenses. So, because of a stupid little shiny piece of plastic, we saved $65 on the glasses over what we would have paid with the advertised special. I'm cool with that!

3. Got a tip for you:
If you're interested.
Get a copy of her prescription, including pupillary distance (PD) and order your glasses online. I got three pairs of progressive bifocals for under $200.00, high index plastic. I'm very nearsighted and very happy with them.

and lots of others.

5. And, you can get replacements for the stupid, littly shiny piece of plastic CHEAP!
Less than a buck for a couple of small rhinestones at your local craft store.

I love deals like that...

6. Curiously, she did replace stones in a necklace - from her jeans.
The jeans had some silly strips of rhinestones (which she doesn't like) and one strip fell off. She pulled off some stones and fit them into a necklace with, get this, glue stick. I was about to point out that the "glue" couldn't possibly hold them when she said she thinks it was just because the glue stick stuff created a vacuum that kept them in place. I agree.
