Please, please people -- put a collar on your cat with a tag that has your phone number.

Friday I rescued a beautiful cat that is obviously someone's pet. Very loving and vocal. Black with green eyes, and very plush and well fed.

I saw the cat jump out of a pickup truck on a busy street -- obviously had been hiding in the back under the tarp. After many hours of coaxing, we got the cat out of thorny bushes and brought it home.

I have posted flyers around the neighborhood. I have put notices on craigslist and watched for any notice from the owner.

If this cat had a collar with ID, it would have been home two days ago. I know that someone is heartsick out there.

Tomorrow I will take kitty to a clinic to be scanned for a microchip. I can't keep it -- already have three cats and border collie in a small apartment.

I'm begging you --- help your precious kitty by tagging it. You NEVER KNOW when he/she will disappear. It only takes a moment, and then gone forever.
