3. They actually do!
Most domestic bunnies need their claws trimmed regularly. My bun seems to keep his "filed" by hopping around the house, though.

19. I hated that particular task ...
... when we had a rabbit. I was always afraid of hurting the little bunny.

22. Yeah...It's not a lot of fun. I'm not happy about doing it for my kitties.
I'm terrified I'll cut their claws too severely.

Clipping my kids' nails when they were babies was no picnic either, come to think of it.

5. OMG yes they do! Their back feet are wicked!
They're quick and can draw blood in the blink of an eye. I speak from personal experience. Don't piss off the bunny!!!!

6. I was once viciously attacked by a herd of wild bunnies.
I almost died of cute overload.

8. Hell yes they do!!! And sharp teeth. I had ours out the other night for cuddles.
I was just doing a routine check on his teeth and he clamped on my finger. So I bit his ear. Neither of us drew blood and then he snuggled in and cuddled for about an hour (purring).

I use a standard nail file to keep his at least less than razor sharp, but I still get clawed all to Jesus when I get him out. Not as bad as when he was young, but it still hurts.

9. If agitated, they can scratch with their back feet.
"Claws" is a bit of an overstatement.

10. Oh heck yeah.
Don't mess with an angry or panicked rabbit.

I've been ripped up pretty bad by both sorts.

It's not that they hit you with one stroke of those powerful back claws -- instead they do this rapid buzz-saw gouging sort of thing.

12. Well, my rats, who are in the rodent family too,
have sharp claws, so it sort of stands to reason that bunnies would too.

18. God I loved that movie when I was a kid.
There was just no way they could make those bunnies look like they were doing anything other than bunnying. Reminded me of Bela Legosi and the rubber octopus. "Nooooo!" Hippity hippity "Heeeeeeeellllppp!!!" nose wriggle.
